Decision

You are still on Tolkien's path. What should Gandalf do?

  • Gandalf trusts Butterbur and agrees with Radagst - he will travel to Isengard to meet with Sauruman the White. He sends word to Aragorn at Rivendell, hoping he will come to Bree in time to save the Hobbits from any danger. He fears what will happen if the message does not reach Aragorn in time.
  • Gandalf becomes suspicious of Sauruman, and travels to Rivendell in order to convince Elrond to attack Isengard. Upon arrival, he sends Aragorn back to Bree to watch over the hobbits.
