You grab the azure gem. a burst of power washes over you and you discover that:

A: You are no longer drowning. You're breathing water just fine.

B: You're no longer inside the well. You're floating in open space, and you're also not alone. Three mermaids are swimming in wide circles around you. One mermaid has dark-blue hair and a blue tail. One has reddish-orange hair and a red tail, and the third one has blonde hair and a yellow tail.

"She just appeared!" the blue-tailed mermaid says.

"Like magic!" the blonde mermaid says. "And she's got legs!"

"She's got something in her hands!" the red-tailed mermaid says. "Show us what you've got in your hands, legger!"
