Luka's mother, Natalia is a middle-aged woman from "the Eastern hemisphere". She loves her son dearly, and commonly tries to protect him from her drunk husband, Alexi. Despite the man's violent nature, she loves him dearly, to the point where she tolerates the man's constant physical attacks and occasional rape.
She is a very kind-hearted woman, and, despite her protectiveness, is quite oblivious to her son's real problems--and habits. Still, she loves both men in her life, as they're the only family she has left.
