Pokemon: Turn the alarm off and get up

BEEP BEEP BEE...
You sigh heavily as you sit up and turn the alarm off. Suddenly it hits you, today is the day you receive your first Pokémon from Professor Oak! You've been waiting for this day for months, ever since your mother caved and finally signed your trainer's license application. And to think, you thought about going back to sleep...
You spring out of bed and begin getting dressed, only pausing to smell if the underwear you picked up is fresh or not. Neglecting to comb your hair or brush your teeth, you run downstairs to scarf down the breakfast your mother puts down in front of you. There's a sad look in her eyes.
"So, you really are leaving, aren't you?" she asks, quietly. You stop eating to respond, but she quickly adds, "No, no, I know. It's what you feel is right for you. I won't stand in your way. Just be sure to call or visit every now and then, won't you?"
Within five minutes, you're out the door and racing off towards Prof. Oak's labratory. Pallet Town has grown considerably over the past years, but your house still isn't very far. You see Prof. Oak's Pokémon preserve well before you actually see his lab, but soon you're at his front door and knocking loudly.
A minute later, one of Oak's assistants greets you and welcomes you in. "The Professor is just through there," he says, pointing to a room off of the main entrance. You stop to catch your breath before calmly walking into Oak's room.
Once inside, you see the Professor smiling widely from behind a table with three Poké Balls. "Welcome, welcome!" he says. "Today is surely a very important one for you. Now as you can see, these are the Pokémon you can choose from. As usual, we have Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Pick carefully, as the Pokémon you choose will become your partner from now on, to grow and to bond with you."
