Small talk is all you can think of, and he smiles slightly at your awkwardness.

"A few years." He answers, "but listen, I'd prefer to not pretend... I don't want to get to know you, and you don't want to get to know me. I've hired you to spend the day naked together, and so I can admire your beautiful body."

"Ok, no small talk," you say and take a sip of water. "So, does that mean no talking at all?" You are standing facing him, and feeling vulnerable but so desperate for some cash. You have 40 minutes left until you've earned your first $200. You think your car repair will cost at least $1000, so you will be very close to being able to fix it.

"Well," he considers, "there are a few things we can do that don't involve stilted conversation. It's your call, do you want to:

• Sun tan in my completely private backyard?"
• Take a nap together?"
• or just read a book while I observe?"
