The clothes fit a little too tight, hugging your legs and thick fur. But you cover up with a hoodie to stay warm outside. It's the middle of winter. Your hot breath makes smoke every-time you open your mouth. On your walk out, the door you neighbor lives in opens as you are locking up. He walks past you with trash in hand. You can feel his eyes linger on you for an extra second. He makes it obvious that he likes you.

He is a lot like you. You were surprised to meet someone so similar. He is a polar bear, standing a few inches taller than you. His arms and chest give signs of a regular workout. White ears have signs of pricings he has taken off. You've talked a few times. You share a lot on common. Even your name.

Pushing that past, you've got a shift waiting tables today. And it happens to be the day you picked up a closing shift. Covering for a Perky Doe.

You take your car, careful about touching the cold metal. The diner is about a mile down the street. It's just the cold to keep you near a heater. You greet your boss when you get there. A muscular older Ass, as in donkey. He never says much. But he is a fine man with a lovely wife.

Clock in, take orders, and serve. You wash, rinse, and repeat your job with a smile and friendly voice to coax more tips for yourself. The Doe you are covering for later works along side you. She is pretty. Her fur looks soft and it gleams shiny. You never though about hunting for her, but you imagine in fantasy having a chance to get down with her.

You get through your first shift and you have a few hours before coming back.
