As tired as you are, you don't think you have a choice. You keep running. You run as long as you can, then rest until you are able to run again, then start moving again. You have no choice, you tell yourself; you have to keep away from this creep. Besides, exercise keeps you warm, and if you move fast enough, perhaps you won't notice the chilly night air.

As you run, you periodically change directions, moving randomly, not falling into any set routine, trying not fall into a pattern. The only thing you don't do is double back on yourself. You know that, by doing this, you are getting more and more lost, but you are already lost, so what does that matter.

Sheer survival instincts keep you going. You are only 18, and you do not want to die naked and alone in these evil woods, so you have to keep moving, keep running, at least until you can think of something.

AS you run, you keep thinking about your encounters with the creep in the shower room, near the lake where he killed Jackie and Nikki and Chris, and where you met the deputy. Now that you think about it, it is odd that he seemed to be affected by a thrown shampoo bottle, a kick in the balls, and some thrown rocks, but shrugged off a full magazine from a cop's gun. Is this some sort of weakness you can exploit?

Maybe you can create some sort of weapon.

Or maybe you should just keep moving. Maybe, if you run long enough, you'll get out of these God-forsaken woods, or even find someone who can save you.
