With the lights off there are too many places for the intruder to hide. You decide to just wait in your room, locking the door and checking your room. With a dresser, a small table, bed, and closet it isn't exactly Fort Knox, but better than nothing.

You go back to looking out the window and watching the ominous red fog slowly roll down the mountain. Red streaks of lighting flash out, striking the forest and causing fires. You have a weird feeling in your stomach watching this phenomenon. Your thoughts are interrupted when you hear someone trying to open the door. You turn around and watch in horror as the door knob is trying in vain to open. You have to do something, and do it fast.
