She looks up at you. "Thank God you're not mad at me," she whispers.
"I could never be mad at you," you murmur. "Worried as heck, but not mad."
Emily sighs. "When you suggested we move our relationship up a notch... I went into turmoil."
You lie on the bed with her and cradle her, resting her head on your chest. "It's all right. We'll take it a step at a time."
Emily smiles, slides her body upwards and kisses you, softly. You respond, and soon you're twining tongues. She eventually breaks for air.
