You have some troubles on working out how to open it, first you try move your hand to touch it, that didn't work, next you called out a bunch of different 'passwords', such as 'Open Mail!', or 'Letters Please'. That didn't work either. Eventually though, you worked out that all you had to do was to think it through your mind.
As soon as you did, the letter list opens up.
