You quickly dress, then slip out under the curtain. Let it look as if you're still in bed.
You can hear the doctor's voice nearby, but you can't make out the words. You creep along the wall until you find a door. You escape out into an antiseptic hallway. You turn to run and very nearly collide with a black-haired nurse pushing a cart.
"Oh!" she says. "Watch your step, please. Are you a patient or a visitor?"
