"Fine," you say, gripping the bat tighter. You swing it around quickly, catching him in the side of the knee, and it breaks. He hits the floor before he even thinks to raise the gun, and as he slumps to the ground, you bring the bat down hard on his hand. You feel his fingers crushed beneath the weight of your blow. He howls like a woman, and you reach out and pick up the gun.
Just then, you see the door in the hallway crack open, and Mrs. Park peaks her head out, sees what's happening, and shuts the door. You hear it lock.
