Catelyn Stark was hard at work managing the arrival of the King's household to Winterfell and the resulting chaos it was causing. The immense castle was filled to the brim with guests, both members of the Baratheon entourage and simple hanger-ons arriving in hopes of enjoying some of the royal largesse. It was her job, as Lady Paramount, to see that both groups were dealt with. She also had to do all the other duties that went with being the Lady Paramount, and, of course, a mother. It seemed as if the King's visit was conspiring with a hundred other things to drive her mad.
And thus she was rather unsurprised to discover that yet another request for her immediate and personal presence had arrived.
