You tell Melanie to open the front door and take a look outside. She nods her head and walks quickly to the door. You can tell she is looking for an opportunity to run and you follow closely behind. As you step outside you are surprised when door Melanie comes to a sudden stop her hand covers her mouth muffling her a startled gasp.
You step out your front door into a scene from a nightmare. As lightning flashes through the sky, your horror grows. Abandoned cars litter the street, some still running and with doors wide open. Bodies lie across the road, on the sidewalks, and and across the lawns. You swear you can see people darting around in the shadows, and a few of the neighboring houses seem to have fires blazing through the interior despite the outside rain. The home of your neighbors, the Parks, is an inferno with flames and smoke poring out the upper windows. Ms. Park a quiet mother of two children is splayed out on her driveway screaming and you can see two figures obscured by the smoke raping her.
For more men half naked with obvious sores on their body are only 10 feet from you. Their backs are toward you and they are walking away from you drawn to the noise of Ms. Park's screams. You grab Melanie and gently pull her back into the doorway and out of sight.
