Figuring that Catalina would be the best place to hide until the heat dies down you start your long swim out to the island. It's nearly twenty-two miles from the Los Angeles coast, but your undead limbs carry you there far faster than any living person could move. A few sharks swim near to investigate you, but your rotting flesh quickly repels them.
