Thinking it might be a good idea to get your bearings you start to swim to shore.
When you make land and drag yourself from the ocean, you realize the majesty of this place, the giant, verdant forests, the flowing rivers, and in the distance you can see a tall mountain. Even the air smells fresh and clean, free from the smog that plagued Los Angeles.
You continue to make your way inland when you come across a paved road. A sign looms above you, it says in bright, white letters "The City of Forks welcomes you!". Forks... haven't you heard that name before?
