Katie knew that her fragile clothes wouldn't survive walking to school in the rain. She had to catch the bus! Katie bolted after the bus, her bust bouncing (nearly out of her dress!) all around, her butt shaking in her panties and her backpack flopping around on her back. Luckily the sneakers made it easy to run besides all her bouncing bits. The rain got worse as she made it to the end of her block, starting to make her dress see-through-able in places. At least she saw the bus driving up ahead at the next intersection. Sprinting after it, she caught up it at the intersection where the bus driver finally noticed her and waited for her to catch up.
The door to the bus opened up, and Katie looked up, gasping as the bus driver apologized "Sorry about that! I didn't see you leave your house!"
Katie merely nodded, she was WAY too cold to respond with words. Shaking, she stepped onto the bus, and now soaking wet. The other students on the bus quietly laughed at her. Katie couldn't believe that this had happened to her the night after the horrible cheerleader tryouts! She began her journey back through the bus, looking for an open seat next, but most of the seats were filled, and those with only one person told her that they didn't want to get wet. It was only at the first back of the bus that she found an open seat next to a boy who smiled at her and moved his stuff off of the chair next to him.
"Thanks." Katie told him, sitting down next to the boy.
"No problem!" he said with a kind smile "You looked like you needed some help."
"Yeah..." Katie admitted with a pitiful grin.
She had a brief sense of deja vu. Then her eyes went wide as she remembered how the same thing happened to her freshmen year! Frustrated, wet, and now anger, Katie sat in silence. However, also much like her first school day's bus ride, it was going to be a rough one.
