Oops, he hadn't met her yet. That means you were in the beginning of the Twilight timeline.
"Never mind," you say, "I know you because I saw your face in the school records." Your lie isn't very strong but he seems to accept your explanation.
"Who are you?" he asks after a while of uncomfortable silence.
"I'm Sarah, I recently moved to Forks."
