You try the hallway door.
"W-Wait... Make sure there aren't any of them out there.."
You ignore him and walk out into the hallway. It's dark, and only a few lights remain. Shouting comes from down all the corridors. You see a fire escape to your right, and begin to walk towards it, with the man close behind, when several soldiers appear at the end of the hallway.
