You laid awake in your small tent, knowing a battle was near. You reached over to the wooden table next to you and grabbed your pocket watch: 4:30 a.m. You roll out of bed and walk out to the fire. Many men were already up but were very quiet, many praying silently. You sat down and slowly drank coffee for about thirty minutes, when a messenger came riding through camp on his horse. He whispered something to the commander, then the commander yelled out, " General Mansfield's men have been engaged in a corn field! We have been called to reinforce them! Form your battle lines!" You got into line, your heart thumping, no turning back now.
