You reach out a hand and grab Father Durham's arm before he can make his escape. You turn him around to face you and hold him forcefully by the arms while you press his back against the wall.
He looks at you in astonishment, his chest heaving, "What are you doing?"
"Father, please," you insist, looking as pleading as you can, "Does not God say that we should love our fellow man? You cannot tell me that you do not understand me."
Durham shivers. You can practically feel his defunct resolve crumbling.
"God help me," he whispers.
