You hit enter.
The display on the device goes blank for a few seconds, then some words scroll across it: "Code accepted. Disarming..."
Ten seconds after that it turns itself off completely.
"Well if you end up wanting that old thing just let me know," the man says before he walks off. You realize you can't just leave it here, but you don't have any money to buy it either. You'll have to steal it and deal with it quickly.
