You are a 17 year old boy, intelligent, kind of good looking, a bit of a nerd and really lazy.
Right now you are sitting in class and the teacher, Ms. Haller, is talking something about mathematics - you couldn't care less. Her boobs are the only reason you look to the front every once in a while. The classroom's packed with teenagers, some friends of you, some girls you find kind of attractive, a lot of people you care as much about as you do about mathematics. Your life isn't bad - actually, it's pretty good - but it's also really boring.
You look out the window and watch the tree standing there. My god, sooooo boring, you think to yourself - and then you notice that it got quiet. No talking anymore, nothing. You wonder what happened and look around. Everyone is just sitting there without moving the least bit. It kind of freaks you out. You look to the front and even Ms. Haller seems to be frozen in place. Her pose doens't look too comfortable.
Suddenly, a man rushes into the classroom. He is wearing extremly funny clothes, but the situation and the look on his face, terrify you. What the fuck is happening?, you think.
The man looks around and finally sees you. He points at you and comes closer.
Strange Man: "You! You move! You ... how can that be? No one is left. The war ... You're human, but you can still move, although it stopped. Really weird, really interesting, no time, they are getting closer. Hopefully we can talk about this later."
You jumped up when the man got closer and now walk backwards, as he is still coming at you.
Strange Man: "Do you know the big fountain in this town?"
You: "Ah, yes ..."
Strange Man: "Good. Very good. Risky, but you'll have to do. You couldn't be tested, but you'll have to do. I give you my powers, which will make me disappear, use them with caution, you're not trained. Get to the fountain, use them there and everything will be explained. Save the galaxy, my friend - only you can!"
You can't go any further, as you have reached the wall. The man leaps at you, touches your forehead with his finger and disappears into a golden mist. You feel something changing in your brain, it tickles for a moment and then it stops. Feeling dizzy, you walk back to your chair, sit down and suddenly all the noises are back. Everyone is moving again, Ms. Haller is talking about mathematics and nobody seems to have noticed anything.
Wondering if it was all just a dream, you think about what just happened, and somehow use something in your head, you have never used before. You do it in a way, like you flex a muscle and suddenly everything stops again - and this time it was your doing!
