Michelle and Christina pulled the car into the driveway and shut off the engine - their hearts still beating fast. They looked at each other and, taking a deep breath, opened their car doors and sprinted into the house. They yanked the door open, dashed inside and slamed it shut behind them, locking it quickly. The recent terror of the man in white was still fresh in their minds, but they found themselves in a calm, warm environment as their parents mingled - unaware of the man in white outside.

With adrenaline pumping, the girls hustled into the room with their parents and described what happened. After describing the startling appearance of the man in white, they were shocked and dismayed to find that their parents didn't believe them! They said "you girls always have had active imaginations." The girls went away disappointed and confused.

Once gone, their parents murmur in hushed and worried tones: "they saw him."

"This shouldn't be happening," said Peter, his anger evident as his face turned crimson, "I had my agents destroy every polyester-nylon crop field and grow house south of the Shenandoah Park. Sounds like Sticky is up to something with this latest development."

"I don't understand," said Kim, shaking his head in disbelief, "We had this worked out; ever since we made the switch to the cheaper synthetic cotton weave, our brum business has shot off. It was up to you two to keep our relatives out of the -"

"Don't you dare call them our relatives!" shot Joy flaring up into a fit of rage, "The Malahues are a different kind entirely - they don't care for the family business, just caring for those darn plants day and night, 'preserving the integrity of the trade' and all that nonsense. Well, we'll just see about that."

The parents huddled up and concocted a plan to send out search parties. Peter, Kim and grandmother Joy formed the first search party, Betty and Sharon formed a second.
