You stop what you're doing and walk to the church.

Many of the townsfolk are already standing in front of the building, some of them armed. They talk amongest themselves as people continue to arrive.

A frantic, haggard man finally steps before the audience and claims that he has just witnessed a small band of men kidnap his daughter.

"They took her there!" he concludes, gesturing at the citadel of Count Jadwigski, an aloof aristocrat who seldom emerges from his darkened halls. The citadel towers forebodingly above the town from atop a rather tall mountain.

"Fucking bast'rd, that Count!" exclaims another riled villager. "I'll bet it's them d'met'd servants of his what took mah cow!"
