"There's a reason you did this," you say, reaching out to stroke her hair gently. She leans into your hand, closing her eyes.
"Yes," she says, nodding. "Things aren't great between my husband and I, and on top of that, I'm scared and alone and just wanted to feel human and loved." She takes your hand and holds it. "I don't think this is something we should do again. Ever. This has to be a one time thing we never speak of."
