Of course you were anxious about the move to a country which you knew very little of and you struggled to speak the language. However, when you arrived you soon settled in without much trouble and with the help your mother; you managed to grasp a further understanding of the English language. This has then allowed you to enter into an American High School, which you are looking forward to doing.

Due to this, you have been allowed to enter into the local High School and tomorrow you will officially be an American High School Student. Being a foreigner and all, you no little of what to expect of your new school chums, however you hope that your first day will pass without incident and if they don't...well I guess you'll have to break some yank noses or just go to a teacher for help.

You wake up to the sound of birds singing outside and the sun shining. Not wanted to be late on the first day of school you quickly rise from your bed, wash up, get dressed and quickly grip something to eat. You then leave your house and start on the journey to school.

You along with your family have recently arrived from your troubled homeland of Russia to make a new life for yourselves in America…the land of opportunity.

The fall of the U.S.S.R. and the introduction of Democracy, had brought many changes to your country and while the fall of the U.S.S.R. was hard to bear for your Strong Communist parents. They chose to accept these new changes, and hoped that as a new age dawned over Russia; the prosperity and happiness that democracy promised would ensure a bright future for you, their only child. However, these dreams were soon shattered by the economic depression that crippled Russia and as events within the country seemed to get only worse as time went on, so did the situation for your family.
