Once you get to the bottom floor you notice how...quiet it is. Usually there are at least sounds from Mama cooking breakfast or Shingo stopping by to give you a rude comment before having to run away, you in full pursuit, but it was clear the house was empty. Stepping into the kitchen, you see a note written neatly on the refrigerator:

''Shingo and I had gone out to get some groceries as well as to get new uniforms for you and your brother. We should be back by late afternoon; you'll have everything you need to make breakfast. Love, Mom"''

You sigh, unsure of what to make for breakfast. Granted, you weren't the best cook in the world - in fact, most of the stuff you try to cook ends up in a disaster - but you had to eat something.
