You quickly crouch down by a tree, pulling your cloak around you in the hopes that you will blend into the darkness. The soldier stumbles into view and curses again, looking back at whatever tripped him up this time. He starts to work his nearer to you and you hold your breath, trying hard not to make a sound. He continues right passed you without stopping. 

Just when you are about to relax he stumbles again as something tangles itself around his legs. He crouches down and grabs ahold of it, untangling it before pulling it up to examine it closer. "The damn piece of my dress!" Your curse internally as you see what he has in his hands. He begins to study his surroundings more carefully after finding this clue that you've been in the area, and his sweeping gaze is slowly making its what towards your hiding place.
