You hold her tight for a moment, and realize that you're preying on her weakness. You plant a soft kiss on the side of her cheek and let her go. 

"We're going to be alright," you say, smiling, defusing the tension of the moment. "Let's stick together for now, and we'll get through this." 

She nods.

"Absolutely," she says, taking a step back to try and compose herself.
