[Rpg maker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rpg_Maker] (links to wikipidia for more info on this wonderous program) is a versitile tool used for making rpgs (role-playing-games) in 16 bit Final Fantasy(tm) style graphics.

It has many ready to go materials to work with to make your very own role playing game called the RTP or real-time-package.

Supported on many formats and videogame platforms (sony psx and pcs everywhere), many people have tried to translate this Japan-only program only to get sued for piracy. Thus, charas-project.net does not allow links to websites that carry the program in its tranlated form for free. Although I personally think ones translated by rpgadvocate are the most safe and relible.

The most widely used versions of Rpgmaker are Rm2000,2k3, and XP. Charas again, does not provide links to these programs, but has a wide knowledge on how they work.
