History

Version 1

AWGP was originally known as the New World of Disorder (nWd). nWd began in June 2007 under the name Brisbane Pro Wrestling however later changed their name to Wrestling Entertainment Queensland due to the controversy using the word Pro. nWd was founded on the basis of three already exsisting federations, Total Nonstop Teenage Wrestling based bayside/northside Brisbane, Australian Wrestling League based Southside Brisbane and Full Throttle Wrestling Academy based in Caboolture/Bribie Island. nWd was originally to be an alliance between these federations producing a weekly webcast from each federation.

However numbers began to dwindal and in June 2008, the three federations joined forces to form one promotion making tapings and meetings easier for everyone. With the purchase of a low-level ring, and the introduction of Pro Training, nWd became the revolutionary force in Amature Sports Entertainment. nWd soon began promoting regular events and in early 2009 moved into a pro ring on the Gold Coast. In April 2009, nWd took time off to recharge their batteries and start fresh in 2010.

Version 2

AWGP returned to it's former glory when the superstars reunited to produce all new matches and featurettes. Several traditional concepts would remain however with the injection of new blood and new attitude, AWGP is set to bring the best in Aussie Underground Wrestling.

Webcasts

AWGP decided to present a spread out presentation of wrestling meets instead of uploading all at once allowing for the extension of storylines. Webcasts are commonly one YouTube Video in length with occasionally extending into a second or third video for the extra special matches. Webcasts are seperated into chapters to allow easier archiving and storyline seperation.

SuperSlam - The Primary and Debut webcast. SuperSlam was orginally conceived to be the secondary webcast in 2009. SuperSlam is uploaded on Wednesday afternoons Australian Eastern Time / Wednesday Morning American Eastern Time.

Underground - The secondary webcast which was created to compliment SuperSlam. With the rating success of SuperSlam and the demand to spread the storylines out a bit more, Underground is set to heavily concentrate on the Championship defences and promos of the wresters.
