HomeGrown Extreme Wrestling (HGEW) is a backyard wrestling federation formed in 2010 hailing from the Inverness District of Scotland. Despite epitomizing extreme within their name, it is often refrained from pertaining to weapons and hardcore matches, but they occasionally go to hardcore extremities.
HGEW maintains over 14 add recruits to their roster with people from all over the United Kingdom including England and Wales, while every Saturday, the federation plans to come together to perform and produce 30 minute web broadcasts including supercards. HGEW also aspires to ascend the top of British backyard wrestling.
History
HGEW were set up in 2010 as a way of bringing together Scottish wrestlers to one big federation. Seeing as there is only one federation in Scotland, it was there duty to rally up as many people as possible. The wrestlers met together on two eperate occasions, one of these was a training session and the other was their first HGEW: Saturday show.
HGEW looks to hold their Saturday shows each week and hold supercards bi-monthly. Their biggest supercard of the year is HGEW: Grand Slam.
