History
Origination
In early 2010, Chairman of the Global Backyard Wrestling Nation alliance, Rad Hazard, sanctioned a GBYWN championship in Australia known as the GBYWN Australian Heavyweight Championship. At AWGP's SuperSlam event, Zac Shaw, one of Queensland Backyard Wrestling's longest serving roster members, defeated Crimson Genocide to become the inaugural champion.
Title Details
The physical championship belt was homemade by Atticus Floyd, originally used as the nWd Tag Team Championship and was to be the Pro Federation, ACWA's version of the Smashmouth Championship. The physical belt returned to active service when AWGP re-activated. On May 30, 2010, Keiran Show won the vacant AWGP Smashmouth Championship and thus, the GBYWN Australian Title was unified with the belt to create the AWGP-GBYWN Global Championship in which became a duel title recognised as both the AWGP Global and GBYWN Australian Titles.
