Shadows would go on to form "Shadows of Payne" with President Payne in one of the 2009 re-incarnations of HGEW. Shadows of Payne would become one of the most dominant tag teams in HGEW, holding 5 wins over The Stanley Brothers, and entered a feud against Blood Money which was short lived. During this tag team, Shadows gradually dropped the Joker gimmick until it was non-existent.
