The HGEW World Heavyweight Championship is a backyard wrestling world championship in [HomeGrown Extreme Wrestling]] (HGEW). The first champion was High Voltage Hardie and the last was Alex Cruize. The champiosnhip is regarded to be the most valuable in Scotland.

History
Origination
The HGEW World Heavyweight Championship was introduced on the first episode of BAW, BAW: The First Show in Nairn, Scotland on July 23, 2008. High Voltage Hardie won the championship at this event. The belt was originally designed to be defended every show, but this rule was phased out due to Hardie having problems wih fatigue. One final rule was added to the championship, which was the old TNA rule, that the championship will change hands on disqualification.
