The GBYWN Australian Heavyweight Championship is a backyard wrestling top tier international territorial championship in Australia, assigned as one of various other championships in backyard wrestling alliance, Global Backyard Wrestling Nation (GBYWN). The title was the only GBYWN championship recognized in Australia.

Origination

In early 2010, Chairman of the Global Backyard Wrestling Nation alliance, Rad Hazard, sanctioned a GBYWN championship in Australia known as the GBYWN Australian Heavyweight Championship. At AWGP's SuperSlam event, Zac Shaw, one of Queensland Backyard Wrestling's longest serving roster members, defeated Crimson Genocide to become the inaugural champion.
