The Dark Moon

The Dark Moon was instituted in the Alvarunus year 505 by Lord Oberon, the king of Elves and Faeries. Prior to the Dark Moon’s establishment, the demons known as Ihreakin had grown strong and many in number. The Dark Moon was created in response to this infestation of demons in the Alvarunus and was dedicated to their eradication. Since the year 505, Ihreakin have lived in constant fear of the organization and with good reason.

The First Dark Moon

The first Dark Moon was created in the year 505, shortly after the Battle of Juno. Lord Oberon named it the Dark Moon to imply that the officers of the team would be undetected in their work (Dark) while spreading light by destroying the Ihreakin demons (Moon). This first Dark Moon was the smallest the organization has ever been. It consisted of Elven Warriors known as the Domha. The officers were as follows:

Rigel Antares

The leader of the Dark Moon, Rigel was a Desert Elf and possessed power over sand and some heat-centered abilities such as the power to create fierce heat waves. He was married to Lord Oberon’s fifth daughter, Rya, who was the female Element of Air and Wind, and had one daughter, Elanwa. Rigel had all the qualities of a great leader. He was stern but forgiving, a good listener and a great strategist.

Siris Antares

Siris was second-in-command to his older brother Rigel. He too was a Desert Elf and held the same powers as his brother. Siris was also a good leader, but much more headstrong and outspoken than his brother.

Ryven Whitestar

Ryven was the quietest and most gentle of the group, though his sweet nature was hidden when fighting was to be done. He was a Night Elf, and had the ability to cloak himself in darkness or light his path with the light of the stars.

Vivona Greenleaf

Vivona was one of the fairest and most beautiful Elves to behold, and her sweet and caring nature matched her appearance. Being a Forest Elf, she had power over plants of all kinds, and they were drawn to her and helped her in her times of need.

Ivi Carinae

Ivi was also a Forest Elf and possessed all the powers the title bestowed upon her. She was especially fond of the vine plants and these aided her in her battles against Ihreakin. She was a sharp witted and clever woman; her words were never wasted and were full of wisdom.

Astryonyx Centauri

Astryonyx was the youngest of them all, though of course would be thought old by Human standards. He was the brightest and most cheerful of them all, and the most eager to fight in battles. A Water Elf, Astryonyx used his power over lakes, rivers, ocean and even the rain to drive Ihreakin back into their shadowy homes.

This Dark Moon lasted but one hundred years. Around the year 605, all the officers of the first Dark Moon mysteriously vanished. It is presumed they were captured and killed by the Ihreakin they strove so hard to destroy.

The Second Dark Moon

1,489 years passed before a second Dark Moon was formed. During these years, Lord Oberon contimplated and weighed the risks, not wishing to put anymore of his people in danger. But in the year 2094, after Cail Darkstar, Rinna Centauri, Olocip and The Wandering Brotherhood defeated the Overlord Trrihade Underwyng, he saw potential in these individuals and asked them if they would consider banding together against the Ihreakin. Without much hesitation, all of them agreed to defend the innocents against the Ihreakin force.

This slightly larger Dark Moon had ten members.
