Brain extentions are caps which use detailed brain scanning and electrical input to allow the wearer to control devices attached to them by USB with their minds.
Magical Brain Extentions
It is posible through magic to create a brain extention which does not occupy real space, and which has magic at it's ends, rather than machines. Those with these Extentions are called Magi.
Perversion
A down side of Extentions is that they can easily be sabotaged to create mind reading and mind control devices. The designs for many mind control devices are variations on Extentions
