The transduplicator is a magical device which looks either like a gilt metal lotus, which can be any size but is usually a few meters across, with magical signs on it (if it is in transmit mode) or a silver lotus bulb with magical signs on it (recieve mode). It is changed between these modes by saying "open" or "close." it is used by saying the location of a recieveing transduplicator to a transmitter. The reciever named will then become a copy of the transmitter adressed.
Transduplicators are widely used for the production of comodities and the transportation of goods, as they operate instantly and leave a copy behind. They are vary rarely used for passenger transport as most people find having an exact copy of themselves several kilometers away creepy, but they are used for slave cargo, so many slaves have exact copies of themselves.
