-Dark Slike, Mobius Chaos Episode II: Decisive Plan! The Finale of Black Cat Slike! (Part 14-20: The Corrupted Timeline (Super Part))

Slike F. Elion is a black cat from Mobius with plans to take over the planet. He is an evil scientist, and is possibly a mad scientist, as when he is getting into true evil power he is known to being screaming of it. His rival and enemy is Tabbir "Whirl" who ruined his first big plan to steal the seven Chaos Emeralds. In the later stages of the YB Timeline, his plans became less scientific and more supernatural, resulting in a couple "deals with the devil."

History

The Emeralds

Slike's first big plot to take over Mobius involved simply collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds. He obtained three, but a group that included his to-be rival, Whirl, stopped him from obtaining the other four. However, he instigated a surprise attack at Oil Ocean Zone, taking the emeralds for himself and escaping to a ship he used the emeralds to power. Whirl and the others chased him onboard and destroyed the core, causing the ship to crash.

Slike escaped and for the next couple years, Slike did smaller evil schemes; at one point, he battled Pyro over a Gemerald Star and attempted to steal the Master Emerald, but failed on both accounts. A year later he encountered Cackletta, Fafwul and Gruntilda going after the Master Emerald, and allied with a grand scheme they had to control the dreams of Star World.

Allied with a large group of villains (see The Plot of Evil Dreams), they obtained the Mystery Eggs, Star_Haven#The_Star_Rod, Master Emerald and Magic Paintbrush, allowing them to control everyone on Star World while they slept. A group consisting mostly of The Yoshi Bodyguards escaped, blocking most of their plan's next steps except for the Crystal Jiggy, which they could use to send their dream-controlling waves to other planets. The group that had escaped returned to face them, but a device known as Sneen#Project_S was stolen from them and used by Slike to thrash them. However, due to interference by a Metal Top they had allied with, the machine was destroyed and the plan was aborted, dissolving the alliance.

A couple months later the Chaos Emeralds disappeared. Slike kept watch on Whirl in case he found their location, and when Whirl made his way to Star World, Slike followed. He came right into the middle of a space fight against The Secret Society of the X-Nauts, Dr. Eggman and Whirl; he disabled Whirl's ship with an electric blast, then joined in the fray. In the end, however, Whirl used a portal blast to send the emeralds all to different planets, and Slike left.

Mobius Chaos

Mobius Chaos Episode 1

Slike decided to shift gears and try to steal the Master Emerald again. However, Metal Top got to it before he did. Slike temporarily teamed up with Whirl, planning to betray him in the end, but Whirl brought some of his allies to help. They were able to take back the Master Emerald but lost it in a jungle. Slike went out on his own with a machine called The Emerald Stealer and broke into a Secret Military Organization the emerald had fallen in. The Emerald Stealer was destroyed in the ensuing fight and Slike escaped.

Mobius Chaos Episode 2

Soon after this an eggpod crashed into Slike's lab, revealing his future self from decades later. His future self told Slike to go to the future to obtain a pre-made plan to take over Mobius, but Slike found the future to be ruled by Dr. Eggman, creator of the plan. He was temporarily jailed, but escaped and located the plan for world domination, only for the computer it was stored on to be blown up by a pursuing robot.

Slike fled back to the past, but created a rift with the time pod that caused his timeline to split and reconverge, causing multiple Slike to return to the past in the same timeline, enough to form an army. With this Slike army he obtained 5 of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, then tracked down Whirl and took the sixth. The seventh was at Alinos, held by the X-Nauts; a group of Slike attacked the X-Nauts head-on while another snuck into the base and took it, using the seven emeralds to become Dark Slike and blast back out of the base.

Meanwhile, the prisoners escaped and attempted a final attack. Everyone in the group was left behind one-by-one in Slike's tower until all that was left was Whirl and General Distinct. Slike used the Chaos Emeralds to batter them to near-death until The Doctor's TARDIS appeared, blocking his attack; the TARDIS also brought along Slike just before he had split his timeline, and the paradox caused the timeline created by the multiple Slike to warp back to before, though Slike remembered the events that happened in it. After this he was captured and imprisoned at the Secret Military Organization's Secret Base.

Mobius Chaos Episode 3

Half a year later the base was attacked and Slike was freed; the assailant, having driven to the base in Slike's secret Slikar, was his younger brother, Vellin. Slike kept Vellin so he wouldn't reveal his location, and fled to an open dimensional portal on Mobius that brought him to the Sol Dimension, home of Blaze the Cat. He convinced her a great evil was coming and they would need the Sol Emeralds to combat it. As Blaze traveled about to collect them, Slike began to build a giant robot of the dragon Trogdor.

A couple days later Vellin reported that Whirl had appeared. Slike had Vellin tell Blaze that Whirl was the great evil, and they took a Sol Emerald Whirl had found. Slike used the emeralds to power Robo-Trogdor and lay waste to the island. Whirl and the others escaped, and soon returned with a counter-robot, The S is for Sucksbot. Slike destroyed The S is for Sucksbot, finally obtaining a victory against Whirl, but just as he was celebrating a thunderbolt struck Robo-Trogdor and it was destroyed.

In the destruction, Slike was killed, finding himself in the Mobius underworld. He was brought to the demon that runs the underworld and was told he had potential; the demon granted him passage back to the realm of the living with the location of a vast source of universe energy. Slike returned to the realm of the living and found all his fur to be burnt off; he was about to attack Whirl when he decided it wasn't worth it, instead taking Vellin and escaping back to Mobius. There he activated a huge engine installed on the Slikar by the underworld demon and they blasted off into space.

Personal Information

Personality

Slike's personality is the essence of evil. He is shown to know that his actions are evil, and is also shown to not care--he likes being evil. The reason for this is unknown. He is brilliant, but is also possibly brilliantly psychotic; when he gains great power or evil, he is known to yell about his triumphs madly. Slike is also very egocentric--it's not that he's better than everyone else, it's that everyone else are a bunch of losers. He likes being right, too.

He cares not for the environment, and, like Dr. Eggman, is a real robotics man... er, cat. Despite this, he has been said to occasionally look for a love life, though on what scale is unknown. He also believes that crime can take a vacation, as he has taken at least one vacation before, and when he gets stressed out (usually after being defeated) he beats around a ball of yarn (which is usually then torn to shreds).

Appearance

Slike is a black cat all over, with gloves that have the ends of the fingers torn off, which are used to allow his sharp claws to extend out. He has black shoes that seem to blend in with his black fur. However, as of his last appearance all his fur was burnt off, leaving his exposed pink flesh (with a few hairs left here and there).

Abilities

Slike is extremely agile, and is able to run at an impressive speed (not quite the speed of sound, but still quite fast). It's unknown if he always lands on his feet, though. He also has claws he can extend or detract, and has learned to spin around with them to form a sort of tornado slash. He claims to give those around him bad luck because he's a black cat, but whether this is true or not is unknown.

Final Smash: Dark Slike

Slike gains the negative energy from the Chaos Emeralds, turning into Dark Slike. He can’t fly, but he can jump repeatedly, is superfast, and all his attacks increase in power, along with his claws doubling in length. He also has a dark aura around him. Slike can also become this if he gains the seven Chaos Emeralds.

Secondary Final Smash: Robo-Trogdor

If Slike had previously used the Chaos Emeralds to become Dark Slike, and then in addition gets a Smash Ball, he has a secondary Final Smash: Robo-Trogdor. He flies off into the sky, and Robo-Trogdor falls from the sky. It has all the abilities of Trogdor, but is also a giant robot. It's ridiculously destructive and can't be killed.

Family

Prior to Slike's imprisonment, his mother had no idea of his evil tenancies. After his imprisonment, she claimed Slike was innocent, framed, it was a mistake, and all other such things. No information on his father is known.

Items

Slike has built various evil contraptions over the years.

Gumzooka

The gumzooka is a bazooka-like weapon that can fire a pink, sticky substance just like chewed gum.

Robots/Mechs

  • Slikebot: Slike's basic robot is modeled after him. They're generally built more for agility than power, but they can fire claw-like weapons and have energy beams as well.
  • Several unnamed robots in Whirl & Slike: The Beginning, including a totem pole robot, a brontosaurus robot, a molebot, and a washing machine/scorpion robot.
  • Metal Army robot replicas: Robots made out of the dead Metal Army's Zinc Leigon. They are created to infiltrate Alinos and spy on the Metal Army but the X-Nauts looked through the ploy.
  • The Cat Cruiser: Slike has a cruiser which he named The Cat Cruiser; its exact specifics are unknown.
  • Roader: Slike somehow obtained blueprints of the Roader from the Subspace Army and built his own, which he used to ride around in.
  • The Emerald Stealer: A mech designed to take the power of the Master Emerald and redirect any attacks that hit its fake glowing "weak spot" back at the foe.
  • Skorpil: A scorpion mech (Mobile Armor) with three tails and a large cannon mouth.
  • The Jaguar: A powerful jaguar-shaped mech (Mobile Armor) with missiles and turrets. The Jaguar is equipped to absorb energy attacks, then use it to power a powerful energy blast.

All known robots, mechs, and mobile armors were destroyed in the demolishing of Slike's lab with one exception.

  • Slikar: A vehicle secretly developed by Slike and hidden outside his lab, its location was only known by him and Vellin. It has jet engines installed, a laser, a rocket launcher, spikes, and has Slike's insignia on the front. It was also recently upgraded with a special warp drive of unknown origin.

Residence

Main Article: Slike's Lab

Slike once lived in his lab, which was a tall tower on a small island, but it was taken down by the Secret Military Organization, and Slike was relocated to an underwater jail cell in the organization's Secret Base. He was broken out, and now has no known living quarters.

Interactions with Other Characters

The Yoshi Bodyguards

Main Article: The Yoshi Bodyguards

Like most villains who encounter the YB, Slike has an extreme dislike for the YB, and quite enjoyed the news that they were forced to break up.

Top

Main Article: Top Mon Hit

Like a good other number of YBs, Slike finds Top to be an idiot. He recognizes the competency of some YBs, but not Top.

Whirl

Main Article: Tabbir "Whirl"

If not obvious by now, Whirl is Slike's #1 enemy and rival. He has tried to defeat Whirl on numerous occasions, but often times tries to enact his plan without Whirl noticing. He would relish the destruction of Whirl, whether he would be the one to do it or not. Despite being unable to defeat Whirl, Slike thinks of himself as superior to him and more agile, more cunning, smarter and overall better than him.

Dark Top

Main Article: Dark Top

Although Slike's only had a couple dealings with Dark Top, he believes Dark Top to have no place in the world of evil, as he is really only half of Top, whom he believes to be an idiot.

Rexor

Main Article: King Rexor

In The Plot of Evil Dreams, Slike considered Rexor to be fairly incompetent, to the point where he suggested Rexor be given a fake key instead of a key that actually led to anywhere. This seems to be a recurring feature with other characters, however: Slike dislikes them and finds them idiotic compared to himself.

General Distinct

Slike detests militaries, mainly because they're usually trying to stop him. And, as a dog, Slike and General Distinct have a natural-born dislike of one another.

Vellin

Main Article: Vellin

Vellin is Slike's younger brother; Slike has an obvious detestment of him, and yet they share a strange brotherly bond that generally does not come up. Slike is, more often than not, simply annoyed at everything Vellin does, but has also realized Vellin may have some evil tenancies in him. He can try to stand him, but generally prefers to be a loner in the world of evil, though he may be willing to allow Vellin to assist him sometimes (provided he doesn't get on his nerves).

Arami

Main Article: Arami

Although it was previously stated Slike had occasionally looked for love (or at least a cheap imitation), he had expressed nothing of the sort when meeting Arami; instead, his only interest was considering using her venom for his own uses.

Kaina

Hooray for things that no one around here actually understands.

At first, Slike only wanted Kaina for her power, and knew that it would be easier just to take the ring. However, he eventually began to develop some romantic feelings for her--this, however, would be his downfall, which began to irritate him to no end.

Metal Sneezier

Main Article: Metal Sneezier

Slike sees Metal Sneezier as his greatest obstacle that doesn't involve the heroes, which is robot uprising. Throughout all the Metal Wars, Slike attempted to avoid any involvement in it, staying in his lab when the Metal Army attacked Mobius. He says that he does not fear Metal Sneezier; he fears the Metal Army getting ahold of his own technology. Despite this, he went ahead with trying to take the 7th Chaos Emerald at Alinos when he believed the Metal Army to be there (though later learned it was instead the X-Nauts).

Subsourian

Main Article: Subsourian the Dark

Slike and Sub certainly have disdain for one another. Sub is one of the former YBs that Slike sees as competent, and knows that both magic and technology have ways of disabling one another. For this reason, he often has at least one magic jammer with him.

The Doctor

The Fourth Doctor

Slike finds The Doctor to be somewhat of an annoying know-it-all, though if he knew more about The Doctor, he might likely try to kidnap him or something.

Trivia

  • At the beginning of Mobius Chaos Episode II: Decisive Plan! The Finale of Black Cat Slike!, Slike was predicted to die (by Sub). This makes sense, as a previous story, Icy Heart of Darkness! The Final Story of Sneen!, ended with Sneen dying, and both spoke of a "finale". However, in the case of Slike, it didn't even list it as the final story. Ironically, at the end of Mobius Chaos Episode III, it is hinted that Slike had indeed died, but then returned to the living realm (supposedly because a cat has 9 lives). On the other hand, Sneen returned for a short time in a later story.
  • Sub also wanted Slike to appear in Omega, but due to Slike being jailed, this was unable to be done and instead Conrad the Conqueror was used.
  • Slike won the 2008 Character Awards for Best Villain.
