'"'Wait, wait, wait… THAT WASN’T EVEN IN THE SCRIPT! Crapud! I’ve broken the fourth wall so much, they’ve learned to go against the script!"

-Topmonhit ([[The Cloud), Topmonhit Story (Story 10: Unity of the Shadows; Part 10-23: Piggy Bells)

The Fourth Wall is a tool originally used in plays where a character would address the audience. Eventually, it became any use of a character referring to how the work was fictional in some way. We here at the wiki break the fourth wall so much, it has become a sort of all-use character, and it has even been used for plots.

Examples of Breaking the Fourth Wall

This list is going to be huge. HUGE, I TELLS YA! If a story or RP or something gets like ten or more examples, give it its own subsection.

  • Omnipotent Voice-of-the-User Characters either break the fourth wall by existing or often break the fourth wall in what they say.
  • Paper Luigi: Pickle Star Dream; Comic 5-4: We like to call this one the Cooking Beam!; Panel 9; Crawgrip yells "I HATE THIS COMIC!!!" just before being blasted by his own attack.
  • Paper Luigi: Pickle Star Dream; Paper Luigi 6-1: Why is this cave green?; Panel 9; Luigi makes a reference to the size of Danny's sprite.
  • Paper Luigi: Pickle Star Dream; Paper Luigi 6-2: WHAT IS THAT!?!?; NOA_Shaun, an administrator from NSider, is referenced to multiple times.
