A Name Involving Darkness and Chaos is the third of four stories Topmonhit had in the YB to wrap up some events he had occur during the Dark Ages.

Story
Attack on Peach's Castle
In recent times before this story began, Top had started acting more serious than normal. No one was sure why, although Oshy suggested it might have something to do with Dark Top, since he and Light Top were still split. Then, while Oshy was flipping through some news channels, they suddenly came across a news bulletin announcing a group of robots were attacking Peach's Castle! Once they realized the Chaos Emeralds were still there, the YB quickly sprang into action. Well, Topmonhit and Danny's characters did.
At the castle, they encountered a robot of Espio, Metal Espio. It quickly attacked them, then ran off, assumably going to the Chaos Emerald safe. When the YB arrived, however, the safe suddenly blasted open. Metal Knuckles and Metal Espio jumped out and blasted off with rockets, escaping with the emeralds. Soon after, all monitors in the Mushroom Kingdom (and, for some reason, in the YB HQ) became staticy and Metal Sonic appeared on them, threatening to destroy the Mushroom Kingdom if they don't surrender. They quickly returned to the HQ for a bit, and while there Top took the Dark Chaos Emerald they had found during the Dark Ages to fight the Chaos Emeralds Metal Sonic had.
Robot Animal Attack
Once they arrived on Metal Sonic's flying fortress, Metal Knuckles, Metal Espio and Metal Vector appeared. Metal Vector just exploded, but the other two put up a fight. They were defeated eventually, and entered the main room where Metal Sonic was. The Tails Doll was inside as well, however, using a large ray gun to to fire some strange energy at them. Top used the Dark Chaos Emerald to destroy it, but then Top was attacked by something out of nowhere and the Dark Chaos Emerald began floating.
IT WAS DARK TOP! He quickly took a cloak he had off, revealing he was holding it, and then used the Dark Chaos Emerald to teleport away. Everyone was stunned for a bit, confused as to what had happened, as it happened so suddenly, but then Metal Sonic brought out a massive cannon powered by the Chaos Emeralds that he aimed for the Mushroom Kingdom!

Meanwhile, on Angel Island, Slike was trying to take the Master Emerald from Knuckles. The two were just about to attack each other when Dark Top teleported between them, causing them to hit him instead; he then dropped the Dark Chaos Emerald onto the Master Emerald, causing the two of them to merge. Something then shot out from the Master Emerald.
Just when Metal Sonic's cannon was fully charged, the Chaos Creature, only now black with red eyes, smashed into the ship and into the cannon, causing it to fire in the wrong direction! It then took the 7 Chaos Emeralds and escaped. The YB hurried back to their ships, and while Metal Sonic escaped, they now had Dark Perfect Chaos to deal with. By grabbing the Chaos Emeralds that now had lost their negative energy, they were able to supercharge the Echo Star and defeat Dark Perfect Chaos, sending it back into the Master Emerald.
