-Professor Oh Gee, Oh Gee Labs Comic 2
Professor Oh Gee is the former leading professor of Gisho Island. He is said to be a cross between Professor Elvin Gadd and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. He has an assistant named Testube, and although he makes various kooky inventions, sometimes he does come up with something worthwhile. He was the one to bring Oshy, his brothers and Apricot off the doomed Gisho Island.

History
Life on Gisho Island
For most of Professor Oh Gee's life he has been a professor, studying various things on Gisho Island and occasionally inventing some things. Details about his early life are vague, but it's known at one point he lived at Whomp Volcano, studying all the whomps there. Unfortunatly, when the volcano erupted, it ruined all his research. At this point, he decided to go return to Gisho Town, but it wasn't long after that while looking into the sky with a telescope that he saw a meteor coming straight for the island!
He did some calculations and figured the island civilization would be destroyed, and after warning everyone boats began to be constructed. Unfortunately, there was only time enough to build two boats, and Oh Gee rode on one with the princess, Apricot, while the other had the princess' caretaker's sons, Yisho, Oshy, Sonic the Yoshi, Shadow the Yoshi, and Jalapeno. This made Oh Gee the only adult, and at nearly 60, he was one old adult. Anyway, they watched as the island was hit with the meteor, killing everyone on the island...
While their course was set for Yoshi's Island, a storm arose while they sailed which separated the two boats. Oh Gee assumed that the five brothers hadn't made it, and continued on for Yoshi's Island, eventually reaching it. There, he raised Apricot until she was old enough for him to not have to bother so much (plus she had Gisho Castle built about that time), and began his new company, Oh Gee Labs.
Oh Gee Labs
Soon after beginning Oh Gee Labs, Oh Gee obtained an assistant in the form of Testube. Testube often acted more like a guinea pig, though not always, and sometimes simply just had bad luck. Eventually Oh Gee made an improvement to Professor E. Gadd's time machine: It now doubled as a coffee maker. Apricot used it to go to the past of Gisho Island, and soon after a group of yoshis came to Oh Gee, whom he realized were Oshy and his brothers! Amazed that they had survived, Oh Gee learned what had happened and explained to them about Apricot and the time machine.
Just then the time machine returned, but when it opened up instead of Apricot a strange, alien yoshi came out and attacked them. It was defeated, and a time hole opened up in Toad Town. Oshy and Yisho went in it to try and find Apricot, while Oh Gee began to study the strange yoshi, learning it was in fact an alien called a Shoshi. In addition, the Pearl Star, which had been used to power the time machine/coffee maker, was now split into shards, the shard of which Oshy and Yisho (as well as their baby selves) caused the Shoshi to begin to act up. Oh Gee figured finding all the shards might beat the Shoshis, to which Oshy and Yisho (and the others there agreed).
Oh Gee continued to study the Shoshi while more pearl star shards were collected and more time holes were opened up, until eventually the Shoshis were defeated and Apricot was saved. Oh Gee learned a rather disgusting weakness of the Shoshis, baby vomit, which he sent spewing out of the time holes all over Gisho Island to melt away the Shoshis. With that, Apricot was saved, and Oh Gee now knew that Oshy and his brothers hadn't died after all, noting that it was strange neither of them ever knew about the others' existance.
Oh Gee's next big appearance was in The Plot of Evil Dreams, where, after a large group of villains activated a machine that could control peoples' dreams all over Star World, Apricot, Oh Gee and Testube were hurried off the planet. They went to Pokeworld, where Oh Gee did some studying of the creatures there, and eventually returned to Star World to stop the villains. Oh Gee and Testube remained onboard the ship while the others defeated the villains.
Later on, Oh Gee helped a group of characters save Top, Oshy and Topper after a cruise ship they were on sank in a whirlpool by letting them use a ship he built with anti-whirlpool protection. Not long later, he found a Chaos Emerald outside his lab, and soon got a call from Apricot who had found another outside Gisho Castle. Unfortunately, he found Apricot was kidnapped when he went to see her, and sent a new invention of his, Egghold, to go warn Oshy and his friends.
Soon Oshy and the others came to Oh Gee's lab and learned what was going on, and they went off to find the Chaos Emeralds. Every time they found one, they returned to Oh Gee's lab, who was experimenting with various inventions, one time getting help from Chibi. In the end, he and Testube went to go vacation on Isle Delfino, although while they were there it began snowing and becoming cold. The entire planet began to freeze over, so Oh Gee and Testube came to a meeting to discuss the cause, but without warning it all cleared up and was fixed like magic.
Moving into Gisho Castle
Eventually Oh Gee and Testube moved their lab to Gisho Castle, and not too long after Team TOT moved in as well. Oh Gee, along with Oshy, Apricot, and Testube, escaped from the castle when the Metal Army invaded Star World. Oh Gee later had a brief and unimportant appearance in Pokemon Obscure Metal, then appeared again in The Great Creator & The Great Destroyer, where he remained in Gisho Castle while The Dark Perforation's army attacked. He also tried to pierce through the barrier that had come over Star World with a giant mirror that would reflect the sunlight back, although he then realized there was no sunlight.
Oh Gee also helped them piece together how fast Mershin's ship was going in The Legend of the Stars, figuring out that it was so close to the speed of light that it felt like only one year to him while it was instead centuries on Star World. He also appeared in The Top Plot for Takeover, fixing a deactivated Stuffwell. His next big appearance would be Return to Gisho, where, a week before Oshy and the others came to Gisho Island, Oh Gee and Testube left to there to do some research on the island's current state.
Soon after arriving, Testube disappeared, and a week later, Oh Gee asked Oshy, Apricot, Power Box, Sunset and Sally to go look for him. While they were gone, a purple yoshi came to Oh Gee, whom he recognized as Lavinia, Oshy's mother. Lavinia said that evil forces had gathered on the island, and brought him to Star Cavern. Eventually when the evil forces, Bowser and Rexor, were defeated, Oshy and the others came to meet Lavinia, though it was revealed she was merely a spirit now. Soon after they returned to Gisho Castle.
Personal Information
Personality
Professor Oh Gee's personality has been said to be a cross between Professor E. Gadd and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. Like E. Gadd, Oh Gee is a somewhat kooky scientist, yet still makes some useful inventions. He's good-natured and good-spirited, and very few things actually get him down. Like Honeydew, he also makes some rather useless inventions. He also sometimes overlooks things and can be shortsighted occasionally. He is very eager in the field of science, and is surely regarded as a professor. Or something to that degree. He is often seen studying things in his lab or working on some new invention.
Appearance
Oh Gee is a brownish-tan yoshi (his color is brown, but it's somewhat faded) with large, spiral glasses. He's also probably wrinkly or something due to being old.
Abilities
He has the ability to be smart. He likely has yoshi abilities, but due to being old, is too old to really do such things.
Inventions
- Pudding Glue
- Plum Peeler
- Robot Banana
- A device to turn gold into lasagna
- The Melonpeeler
- Mobile Beaker
- Warp Pipe Unclogger
- Egghold
- Nuclear Lamp
- Food Laser
- Whacka Transporter (or a wagon fulla dirt)
Residence
Oh Gee previously resided in a lab on Yoshi's Island, but later moved to Gisho Castle. He now has his lab situated in the castle, somewhere in the basement.
Interactions with Other Characters
Oshy Gisho
- Main Article: Oshy Gisho
Professor Oh Gee is always glad to help Oshy out if he needs it. Although he didn't know Oshy very well as a baby, the two work together and are friends. Oh Gee enjoys Oshy's company, and almost sees himself as a sort of mentor, except for the fact Oshy doesn't do any inventing and isn't a scientist.
Princess Apricot Gisho
- Main Article: Princess Apricot Gisho
Oh Gee and Apricot share a bond that isn't shown very often; Oh Gee was essentially the one to raise her, so the two have had a lot of time together. Apricot gets help from Oh Gee sometimes, and Oh Gee sometimes gets help from her; the two are good friends, and Oh Gee lives at Gisho Castle, which is technically owned by Apricot.
Testube
- Main Article: Testube
Although Oh Gee's oversights get Testube into a lot of trouble and pain, he does care for his lab assistant well. Despite this, he does sometimes seem to treat Testube like a guinea pig... the two are often seen together, though, and are friends, even if Testube gets the short end of the stick from Oh Gee's experiments.
Dr. Tyrato
- Main Article: Dr. Tyrato
Oh Gee and Dr. Tyrato have not actually really encountered one another, but it is interesting to note that the two share similar roles on opposite sides: Dr. Tyrato is Rexor's scientist, and Oh Gee is a scientist that is a friend of Oshy's.
Trivia
- Oh Gee is based off a combination of both Professor E. Gadd and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.
- Oh Gee's actual name is said to be Oltin Gisho, but this name is never actually used.
- It's been said that Oh Gee Labs is actually a subsidiary of Topmonhit Inc.
