Revision as of 22:55, 14 June 2012
It's an RP made by ChibiKirbyNess in what I think was either 2006 or 2007. It is supposed to be in the future, and by that I mean 500 years after Polomo, which was 2005. Many characters are in it, which are detailed in this article.
The RP, especially in its recent incarnation, has inspired at least three pieces of fiction. Top, Chibi, and Paper are the authors of the said three.
We've been trying to revive it, but have been having some troububble.
Characters
Danny
Bass
Bass was a Scizor who was basically a drifter.
Danny XII
Danny XII was Danny, only with 11 other people's DNA added in. He hardly did anything.
Devon
Boss Krow
Boss Krow was a mafia boss who led a bunch of Murkrow. He did all the normal mafia stuff. Possibly a relative of Boss Duck.
Haunter
Haunter ran the Yoki Yoki bar. He was money-grubbing and mean to his workers, but... uh... Well, that's it.
Iam Urlov
Iam was a young Pichu assistant to detective Ivan Churluv. He looks up to immensely and was in love with Ivan, but was nervous about revealing it because they were both male and Ivan was older. Eventually he revealed it and they made out. Note that neither of them have ever voted Republican. Later he reappeared in Rollenspiel as a Raichu with an older Ivan.
Jack
- Main Article: Jack
Jack was a Sneasel with a fedora who had no regards for ethics or common decency. He did what he wanted and was a jerk to everyone. He died several times and kept coming back, apparently in some deal with a Chansey, or someone who could take the form of a Chansey. These deaths were mostly done by Aob, whom he had a sort of bitter rivalry with and whom he also killed once, though she also came back. HE'S TOTALLY MESSED-UP, GUYS
Lobo
APPARENTLY I (Duth) SAID TO MAKE A TEMPORARY CHARACTER ONCE?? I don't know. He was a Mightyena.
Mister Spearitt Collar
This guy was a Girafarig witch doctor who was apparently going to have some part in a plot involving Jack ruling the island, but it never happened. He's corrupted and wants wealth and power, probably from talking to Haunter too much. Well, it says spirits, and Haunter is both a spirit and sells spirits!
Nemo & Captain
Nemo & Captain ran a newspaper that lasted for one post because the other newspaper sucked. Nemo was a Meowth, and Captain was a Pidgey. Captain was the paper bird.
Nergal
- Main Article: Nergal
Nergal was a drunken, sad, alcoholic Banette. He was so drunk it must be pointed out he was both drunk AND an alcoholic! He was very lonely and wanted friends but could never get any so he made alcohol his friend. He was basically depressing, especially since in the early Yoki Yoki there was a possible romantic relationship with Luna who then disappeared forever. However, he obviously moved on with his crush on Nana. His name is probably taken from Nergal of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. (IT WAS)
Number 3
Number 3 was a beautiful and intelligent but psychotic Delcatty. She was a hermit mad scientist with no morals or ethics or sanity, and shouted at everybody and beat them up if she was pushed a few inches. SHE'S TOTALLY MESSED-UP, GIRLS
Symphony Bell
Symphony Bell was a Clefairy with the biggest imagination. She wanted to do everything and anything, even though in reality she couldn't do anything; that didn't get her down, though, and she still continued to do the impossible... in her own head, maybe. She was oblivious, apparently, to reality.
Dr. Pikachu
Duth
Aob
Aob was an Arbok who knew hypnosis ooooh. She was also super-long, and also a bounty hunter. She and Jack fought like 4 or 5 times, neither one ever getting an advantage over the other; though they may have killed each other once or twice, they both came back. She was hired by Boss Krow to kill Jack (though she succeeded, he came back somehow) and Gallore. Despite this, they have actually joined forces once, though it didn't last and are at each others' necks more often than not. There are hints that they respect one another and possibly even have a hidden romance, or maybe they're kismeses AAA I'M SORRY I BROUGHT HOMESTUCK INTO THIS THREAD.
Aob was also hired by Tangeryne, who wanted her to kill Boss Krow; instead she betrayed her and they killed Tangeryne. She also once ran for mayor, unless that running for mayor scenario didn't actually follow through. Anyway, in the unused "Jack rules Yoki Yoki" scenario, Aob might've joined forces with him again, working for him. She also might've been part of the resistance, who knows. I never figured out what their relationship really was, and I'll be darned if Devon does!
(fun fact: Devon does NOT know what their relationship is, and if there is a reincarnation of the RP we will FIND OUT)
Apocethary
Apocethary was a Venomoth who sold all manner of drugs good, bad, ugly, and distasteful. He lasted only one post.
Ariun
Ariun was a black and white Ariados who lived in a cave in Quagsire Cove. He was never used.
Dingle
Dingle was a Chimecho who screamed everything she spoke. She was quickly relegated to narrator for Yoki Yoki, which didn't last long either as everyone used script format there, and having a shouting narrator in story format would get old quick. Another Chimecho named Dingle appeared in Pokemon Realgar, though as there is 500 years of difference it is unknown if these are different Chimecho or if The Cloud sent Dingle to the future.
Dr. Krabzoid
Dr. Krabzoid was a Krabby based on Dr. Zoidberg of Futurama. He was a terrible doctor, and went about looking for scraps of food to eat. He mostly appeared where it would be deemed funny by Duth, until PB's characters Nora and Vanilla appeared and Dr. Krabzoid somehow joined them, at least temporarily.
E=Mc▓'k?
E=Mc▓'k?, or E for short, was a broken Porygon. It had infinite personality disorder: a thousand personalities downloaded into one robot duck, and each one pops up for a limited time. It thought it was everything, from a police officer to a thief to Number 3's brother to Des Guise. Eventually it evolved into a Porygon2, and then a Porygon-Z, at which point its damaged circuits were repaired and it remembered it was a Metal Marauder, but it was destroyed shortly after that.
Exolote
Exolote was a single Exeggcute who first appeared in the hospital in a Chansey robot, pretending to be one of the nurses there. He was separated from the other Exeggcute of his family and became lonely. He ended up being sort of adopted by Enna.
Grames
Grames was a Drifloon who acted as the grim reaper for Yoki Yoki. He wasn't very good at his job, though, and often lost track of time. He would ask people if they knew anyone was scheduled to be dead but didn't. He probably had a high-pitched voice.
Judico
Winner of the shortest use ever, Judico was a Ludicolo who liked to belly dance--which, according to her, was actually dancing on her belly. She lasted seven posts.
King of Swalot
The King of Swalot was a Swalot who was king. Of Swalot. He also claimed to be king of Yoki, but no one paid attention.
Leevi
Leevi was a scientist Eevee who had a taste for chaos and a large destructive capability. She spent most of her time destroying things until she used a Kecleon's DNA to allow her to change into an Eeveelution at will. She then resumed destroying things, attacking a mysterious lab at Quagsire Cove and testing a giant Groudon machine at Sandshrew Desert.
While being created, Duth asked people what she should be: Vulpix, Misdreavus, Eevee, or Dratini. Interestingly enough, she has appeared in two other timelines and in both cases is a different Pokemon entirely, though none of the Pokemon listed there; she was a Chikorita in Rollenspiel and a Pichu in the YB Timeline.
Lenny
Lenny was a Diglett who could teach Pokemon any move. He wore glasses, and would pop up at random locations and teach whoever wanted him to a move for a fee. He eventually died at Sandshrew Desert at the insanity of E. He had a brother named Dugdig who lived at the edge of Sandshrew Desert, but never appeared.
Moody
Moody was a Litwick who would pretend to be a guide, then trap people and eat them. She originally appeared in Rollenspiel, and though a profile was created of her for Yoki, she only had two posts.
Nell
Nell was a white Sneasel descendant of Sneen from the Ice Pokemon Underworld. She was utterly uninspired, and as another Sneen descendant had appeared in an early Yoki Yoki, she was at risk of becoming like Tig.
Nocrates
Nocrates was a Noctowl based on Socrates. His feathers were a mess and he had a beard, and he went around asking people endless questions to make them realize something about themselves.
Pos & Neg
Pos & Neg were a Plusle who was black and white instead of red and yellow, and a Minun who was black and white instead of yellow and blue, respectively. Supposedly siblings, the two appeared out of nowhere and did some stuff. They were originally intended to be the instigators of an event that would bring back Nocktor, led by an incredibly old Zalcy; the plot would have had them orchestrate a marriage between Nergal and Luna, a romance that had shown signs of coming forth earlier, which would have created the gateway necessary to bring Nocktor back. However, Kirby5759 (Luna was his character) disappeared and so Pos and Neg had no further use.
Pudge & Pell
Pudge & Pell were a Pelliper and Pidgey duo who delivered mail. Pudge actually delivered the mail, as well as Pell, who lived inside Pudge's mouth for reasons they didn't care to disclose. Pell was like a messenger pigeon who lived in a pelican's mouth. They only appeared for one post, but the idea was funny.
Robble Hoard
Robble Hoard was a Politoed thief who has a name similar to Robin Hood. He wasn't used much. The name Robble Hoard comes from a character from Duth's novel Slubes.
Tacru
A Tentacruel pirate, Tacru has a large patch over one of his orbs and his beak is replaced with a big, metal hook. He attacked Yoki Yoki a couple times with his Tentacruel pirates, though he was stopped on both occasions. He was set to reappear in Pokemon: Rollenspiel, but only a new, metal, advanced ship appeared before the RP stopped.
Terren
Terren was a Krookodile who was boss of a mafia of Krokorok and Sandile. He was made before the name Krookodile was known, though, so he was known as a Waruvial. He attempted to extort money from the Yoki Yoki bar.
That Pichu There
That Pichu There is a miniscule Pichu who lives inside the walls of the Yoki Yoki bar, stealing food and remarking on events.
The Professor
The Professor is a character described as the Pokemon version of The Doctor from Doctor Who. Like The Doctor, upon dying he regenerates into a new form, but in this case he becomes a different Pokemon every time. He began Yoki Yoki as an old Probopass who lived in Starly Town longer than anyone could remember. After his house was destroyed he left to Mount Golem where he was caught in an avalanche and regenerated into a Wobbuffet. He met Choblin and the two did stuff together. His TARDIS had been eaten by a Gyarados years prior, but spewed it out soon after he regenerated.
Although it never got to that point, Woot was going to be the one who accidentally caused The Professor's TARDIS to be stuck in the form of a washing machine. The Professor later appeared as a Smeargle, regenerated into an Abra during World Awakening, and then regenerated again at the end of that into a Tropius as he escaped the universe's destruction into Rollenspiel. A flash series featuring him may detail how he regenerates from a Wobbuffet to a Smeargle, although there is no way of telling if it is YB canon (or if it will ever be made.)
The Wobbuffet stage was originally a different character who was combined with The Professor.
Topple
Topple was a Shiftry based on Popple who was never used.
Vit
Vit was a shiny Treecko who was super timid and weak, but also very tender. He loved gardening, and had possibly the best garden on the Yoki Island, or at least the best in Starly Town. However, he was tormented by Jack several times. Eventually he was sold into slavery or something and ended up on Bellossom Island, where he was treated super-nice by the Bellossom but not allowed to leave. He did attempt to escape, though, but by the time he built a boat to return home the experience magically made him evolve and he realized he would rather remain on the island. He grew another garden even more magnificent than his old one and then stopped being a good character.
An unused plot was that Vit was supposed to somehow impress the Bellossom super well and become their new king while Jack somehow takes over Yoki Yoki, and after word got to Vit he would have had the Bellossom go to Yoki Yoki and try to overthrow him. This never happened, but would totally make for a great part of a Yoki novel plot.
Or we could do a Yoki Yoki RP where Jack is the supreme ruler and just start off that way.
Wobbuffet
Wobbuffet was a Wobbuffet who helped a Meowth named Nemo run a newspaper place. Neither character were ever really used AT ALL.
Woot
Woot was a Wooper who was super silly. She had bent antennae and tended to just run around babbling nonsense. She was supposed to have a romance with Chimera Experiment III, although exactly how that would have worked was unknown, so she mostly just sat on his(?) back for a while. A Wooper named Woot appeared in Pokemon Realgar, though as there is 500 years of difference it is unknown if these are different Wooper or if The Cloud sent Woot to the future.

Nora
Nora was a Roserade; she was a Pokemon Rescue Team master and was serious about her work. She was training a young Togetic named Vanilla. She has a cold attitude and isn't one to tolerate silliness or indiscipline.
Vanilla
Vanilla was a young Togetic who was learning to be a Pokemon Rescue Team. He was cheery and excitable, and didn't seem all that serious about his work, though this demeanor belied his true ability. His master was a Roserade named Nora.

Unused Character Ideas
At certain points people had people vote on a set of different characters that could be used. These are a list of possible characters that never were made.
Devon
Devon had a vote for characters including a vain and cynical yet genius detective with a top hat, a pleasant and nice and happy little creature who is HAPPY AND NICE but also twitchy and accident-prone, a little kid in desperate need of attention and pulls pranks to get that attention, and a blind religious freak lecturing everyone on the will of the legendaries.
Duth
At one point Duth considered having characters of a Jigglypuff, Shellder, Furret, Rotom, Gible, Carnivine, and Torterra.
Duth also suggested a Forretress who could play music from inside his shell, a Wobbuffet salesman who once worked with a Meowth but they parted ways, and a Mawile bartender.
