No one knows if this took place during the birth of the universe or billions of years ago which is a heated debate between historians. Other myths state there was an ancestory to all Pokemon, Mew. Whether this would point to Mew coming before Arceus or Arceus not technically being a Pokemon is something no one ever bothers to debate about.
