The afterlife is, as inferred, where one goes after their life. Each system features its own afterlife (or it may be sector, who knows), which varies in how it works and what it's like. Several characters have gone to the afterlife, some of which have then returned to the realm of the living. Others still choose to become ghosts, although it's unknown how one goes about this.

The underworld has a set up similar to the Christian belief of a hell, and therefore it may be assumed there is a heaven as well.
