Gluposs is a Duplighost who is just about the only remaining person at the Crystal Palace. He went there because his parents were forcing him to marry a girl that wasn't to make change him. This makes him very difficult to be a character that is used in just about anything. He seems to like pranks, but unlike Parnky, doesn't do them all the time. He also seems to be bored quite often.

History

Early Life

Gluposs was born into a rich family, the Klisk Family; richest family of duplighosts on Star World. On his 13th birthday, his parents brought him to the Pokeworld so he could get his very own Pokemon. He met a Spheal, whom he named Sphealy, and brought it home with him. Unfortunately, when he got home, he found out that he was to be married to a girl named Duplibi who tried to force him to become a proper gentleman by any means nessecary. Eventually, Gluposs couldn't handle it anymore and ran away.

Life at Crystal Palace

And so, Gluposs found the Crystal Palace. A shady Ninji sold him a room there (even though he probably could have just moved in on his own terms), and he set up a hidden room. There, he lived in solitude, never normally coming out except to get food, although how he found food is a mystery.

Eventually, one day, he was walking through the Crystal Palace and found what looked like the Star Rod, only it was blue. He took it, and when he returned to his home, he realized the television was suddenly unable to work. He looked at star rod-esque item he had found, and figured out it was magic. Thus, he set a random bell that was in the palace to turn a resident of the nearby Shiver City into a taco every time it rang.

His "prank" fell apart when a group calling themselves The Yoshi Bodyguards showed up, looking for the Star Rod shard he had. He admitted that he did it, and turned the residents back. He then asked them to fix his TV; in exchange, he'd give them the shard. They agreed, but while they were fixing it, Gluposs was attacked by some Shadow Creatures and another duplighost. Specifically, they were Beldam, Marilyn and Doopliss. Gluposs relinquished the piece, but then transformed into a Shadow Creature design of his own to trick them.

When the YB encountered Beldam, Marilyn and Doopliss soon after, they battled; in the end, Gluposs revealed to being Gluposs and blasted Beldam, Marilyn and Doopliss, causing them to lose the Star Rod piece. They fled, and Gluposs gave the YB the shard. Since then, he began to make periodic trips to Shiver City, although it's unknown if the residents of Shiver City ever knew he was the one turning them into tacos...

Return of the YB

The YB returned one day, now with a couple of Wigglers as well. Apparently, they needed some sort of star-shaped jewel to stop some demon or something. Gluposs told them there was a large door with a keyhole in it he was never able to get into; Oshy got an idea that it might be for the legendary Ice Key of Stop 'n' Swop (even though that makes no sense). Gluposs followed them to another planet known as Rareworld, where they attempted to get the Ice Key from a short guy named Fawful. Apparently Gluposs had heard of him, as he turned himself into Fawful's leader, Cackletta, and convinced him to give the YB the Ice Key. Once the YB had the key, they rushed back to the Crystal Palace, opened up the door, and got the jewel. Gluposs remained in the Crystal Palace, though, and didn't come help them.

Later on, Cackletta, Fawful, and another witch, known as Gruntilda, appeared in the Crystal Palace late one night. Gluposs stayed hidden, but saw them go into the room the YB had opened and then entered a strange room with letters everywhere, after which they spelled out some codes and left. The YB showed up the next day, and came to the conclusion that whatever it was had to do with "Stop 'n' Swop". The YB left to Rareworld, leaving Gluposs there to wait for them. When they returned, they had some strange, large eggs which they put into some egg-carton-shaped holes. This apparently opened a new location, but guess what, Gluposs still did not go with them, and thus did not find out whatever it was that occured.

His Parents' Return

One day, Chibi and Doopliss appeared, telling him his parents had died and he had an inheritence to inherit. Gluposs knew this was a trick by them to get him to come back and marry Duplibi. He refused to go, but then the room they were in was filled with a Stun Spore and Gluposs was taken by the butler of the Klisk Family, Butla. He was brought home and Duplibi began trying to make him a proper gentleman again, using her Jumpluff's Worry Seed to keep him awake.

The next day, Beldam, Marilyn, Chibi and Doopliss showed up and helped him get out. He explained to them what was going on, and Beldam and Chibi said they were there to get money for bringing him back. Gluposs told them his parents would never give them money, so instead Beldam proposed they just kidnap Gluposs for ransom money.

Gluposs was attacked and jumped at Doopliss, who scuffled until Chibi stopped them. During the fight, however, Gluposs and Doopliss poofed into one another; the room was filled with Stun Spore from the vent, and everyone but Doopliss (as Gluposs) was thrown out. Gluposs poofed back into himself and ran off back to Crystal Palace.

Personal Information

Personality

Gluposs is a kind-hearted fellow, although he does enjoy doing some pranks now and then which may or may not be entirely ethical. He also appears to be a shut-in, not very often coming out of the Crystal Palace, but this reason is so he doesn't draw attention to himself and his parents don't find him.

He's a bit goofy, not noticing that his television wasn't working due to it being unplugged once, but is also quite clever. In a made-up interview, he states that he's afraid of commitment.

Abilities

Gluposs, like all Duplighosts, has the ability to duplicate a foe or ally and take on the exact physical characteristics and abilities of said foe or ally.

Final Smash: Duplication

Gluposs turns into a random foe or ally and uses their FS.

Family

Blutz & Regina

Blutz, Gluposs' father, and Regina, Gluposs' mother, are the two richest duplighosts on Star World. Blutz is blue with a top hat and Regina is purple with a fancy hat and design pattern. They want Gluposs to be a proper gentleman, Blutz especially, so they arranged a wedding with Duplibi, a girl they hoped would shape him how they wanted. Regina always wants the finest things in life, and is basically spoiled.

Residence

Gluposs currently resides in the Crystal Palace. He set up a secret room where he has a bed, a television, a fridge (which was just a box labeled "FRIDGE" as it was cold enough already for things to not go bad), and other items. It also has his name above the doorway. He's just about the only living thing in the palace now.

Interactions with Other Characters

The Yoshi Bodyguards

Gluposs thinks the YB is a pretty cool organization, and sometimes thinks he could have gone with it to hide. However, because it gets so much publicity, that would probably be a horrible idea, he thinks. Either way, he's always willing to let them lend a hand. He, on the other hand, has no hands, so he's not very handy for those with hands. Hands, hands, hands.

Doesn't everybody think Chibi is a jerk anyway? He thinks so too!

Trivia

  • The spot Gluposs inhabits on Topmonhit's Character List was originally inhabited by a chomp named Chompy; Topmonhit got rid of him mostly due to his lack of appendages, and replaced him with a shy guy Lysh, who Top deemed boring and finally he got Gluposs. Both Lysh and Gluposs were light blue in color.
