Greater Atlanta Region BBYO, also known as GAR, is a division of BBYO inc. located in Atlanta, GA. Greater Atlanta Region was previously known as Southern Region: Atlanta Council (up until 2018). The once council used to be a part of Southern Region along with Dixie Council. Atlanta Council was one of the largest councils in the order. Atlanta basically dominated Southern Region, since Dixie was so small. Dixie decided to join Eastern Region, making Atlanta its' own region. Thus, Greater Atlanta Region was created. GAR is home to 5 AZA chapters and 6 BBG chapters.
