Region

Mountain Region #47 is comprised of Arizona, Utah and Nevada.

Mountain Region BBYO has chapters in Phoenix, Scottsdale , East Valley and Tucson in Arizona. Mtn BBYO is also in Las Vegas, Nevada and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Mascots

The Mascot of Mountain Region is now the Lion. Passed at Fall Convention, October 2011

The Mountain Region AZA mascot is now Dragonite and/or Little Caesar pizza guy. Passed at Fall Convention, November 2012

The Mountain Region BBG mascot is now Grover. Passed at Winter Convention, January 2013

The Mountain Region Mascot is now the Moutain Goat Passed at Spirit Convention 2018

Awards

Each Winter and Summer Term, the AZA and BBG boards decide upon a few awards:

AZA Awards

  • First Team awards are given to each board member's best chapter counterpart
  • The Leo S. Berney Best Chapter of the Term Award is given to the chapter that performed best that term. This is awarded through a lengthy application process. This is the most prestigious award a chapter can receive in the region.
  • The Stephen S. Wise Award is given to the most improved chapter of the term.
  • There are also awards given to the best program around each of The Five Folds

BBG Awards

  • Counterpart of the Term awards are given to each board member's best chapter counterpart
  • The Sylvia Koch Best Chapter of the Term Award is given to the chapter that performed best that term. It is the highest honor a BBG chapter can receive in the region.
  • The Grace Fishman Most Improve Chapter of the Term award goes the the chapter that has made the most improvement throughout the term.
  • There are also awards that can be applied for by board members pertaining to their board position. These vary by term.

Basically....you know you're jealous....WE'RE BIG, WE'RE HARD, WE'RE MOUNTAIN!!!!
